If you are you planning to visit Singapore for the first time, you are reading the right article. Let me introduce you this spectacular city-country and get your attention to the main things to do and to see.

Visit Singapore Zoo

Being one of the most appreciated attractions in Singapore, the national Zoo attracts over 1.7 million visitors each year. It was officially opened on June 27, 1973 and today hosts around 3.600 species of animals.

The ticket for Singapore Zoo costs 33 SGD/adult and 22 SGD/children. But, I recommend you to take a more complex package, including the ZOO ticket and night safari. You will also need to pay 45 SGD/adult and 30 SGD/children.

Visit Gardens by the Bay

This spectacular park is located in the heart of Singapore and was created in 2012. It consists of three parts, named Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden and Bay Central Garden.

The project’s purpose was to create a natural environment beside the city’s modernism. The design will surprise you with its super-trees raised in the shape of orchids. Due to the gardens’ uniqueness, it attracts over 8.5 million visitors each year.

The standard ticket (Flower Dome plus Cloud Forest) for non-residents costs $ 28/adult and $ 15/children under 12 years old.

Visit the Thian Hock Keng Temple

It is the oldest temple built by Hokkien people in Singapore. The construction was designed in Fujian style, being decorated on the roofs with dragons and other motifs. This spectacular temple dates back to 1840 and became a national monument in 1973.

The temple is open daily between 7.30 AM and 5.30 PM and doesn’t charge any fees.

Do not miss a free concert

In case you want to save some money once you arrive in town, I recommend you to follow the Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s shows for free concerts.

Some of the upcoming free concerts are:

SSO Campus Concert- Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) on 9 March 2018;

SSO Gardens by the Bay on 10 March 2018;

In Every Corner Sing on 8 April 2018 at Victoria Concert Hall;

SSO Classics in the Park. Mother’s Day Concert on 13 May 2018 at Singapore Botanic Garden and

25TH Singapore International Piano Festival between 7 June and 10 June 2018 at Victoria Concert Hall.

For more details, do not hesitate to check the Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s official website.

Try the food from Little India

Little India is an ethnic district located in the eastern part of the Singapore River. It is known for its cheap and delicious cuisine as well as for its unique snacks and souvenirs.

Escape to Pulau Ubin

Pulau Ubin is an island located in the north east of Singapore. The locals still live an old traditional lifestyle, so don’t expect to find a modern place. However, it has magnificent landscapes. Rent a bicycle and explore the surroundings step by step.

Singapore is one of the numerous cities which combines the modernism with the natural environment. Try to make your experience unique and don’t lose any minute of it. Explore the surroundings and don’t be afraid to do something for the first time. Create new memories every day.
